Against All Odds: Episode 83

This week we remind you of the incredible story of the Ncholo Family which scooped the Best Television Feature at the 2013 Vodacom journalist of the year awards.
We bring you one of the most profound stories of forgiveness and reconciliation this country has ever seen.
In 2003, Tshepo Ncholo was shot and killed in a failed hijacking, shortly after he obtained his honours degree. One of his attackers committed suicide while the other one was gunned down by an angry community member. A third suspect was imprisoned for the senseless killing.
In an incredible act of compassion, Tshepo’s family chose to forgive the man who robbed them of their loved one. They went on to shock the world by offering to look after the killers siblings and HIV positive parents.
