John Perlman will host Under The Skin on eNCA
Posted on: Wed 19 Jul 2017
Under The Skin is a new talk show that will premiere on Wednesday 2 August at 9:30PM. John will bring his vast experience in broadcasting to this interview driven show. He will engage significant South Africans from all walks of life to give viewers an insight into what makes people we think we know tick. From prominent politicians to leaders in business, sport and the arts, John will offer viewers a look behind the mask, giving South Africans insight into and appreciation of the emotions and thoughts which drive our prominent citizens.
Under the Skin is an addition to our existing array of popular current affairs and news shows. John joins eNCA’s team of talented current affairs presenters like Nkepile Mabuse, Justice Malala, Jeremy Maggs, Siki Mgabadeli, Xoli Mngambi and Thulasizwe Simelane.
In the first episodes John’s guests will include Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Minister Lindiwe Sisulu and world renowned HIV-Aids researcher Dr Glenda Gray.
eNCA MD, Mapi Mhlangu believes the addition of John Perlman to eNCA will bring viewers more insightful and thought-provoking programming. ‘With his vast experience in broadcast, John Perlman has consistently shown his ability to have difficult and necessary national conversations, drawing South Africans out to tell their truth on their own terms. In the quest to get all of us to know more and judge less, eNCA believes that Under the Skinwith John Perlman will allow South Africans to see some of our most controversial and contested reviled personalities in a new light as full and complex human beings”. says Mhlangu.
John Perlman is relishing his new role as a presenter at eNCA. “I am honoured to join the best news team in television. The thing about famous people is that we never know them as well as we think we do. On Under the Skin we will engage with prominent people about issues in the news in ways that also allow them to tell us something about who they are and how that shapes what they think and do." says Perlman.
Join John Perlman in Under The Skin every Wednesday, starting on 2 August, at 9:30PM and repeated on Thursdays at 9:30AM on eNCA on DStv (Channel 403).
