State of the Nation Address on e.tv and eNCA

Join eNCA and e.tv this Thursday, 14 February for live coverage of the opening of parliament and the President's State of the Nation Address. President Jacob Zuma will set the agenda for the coming year. There will also be reaction, analysis and all the plumage and pageantry you've come to expect from this annual event.

eNCA has scheduled a build-up to the State Of  the Nation Address  from 12PM on Thursday 14th February.  The news team will be live from the parliamentary precinct until approximately 9:30PM.

Senior Political Reporter Hajra Omarjee and Reporter Lester Kiewit will bring viewers interviews and anticipation, as well as reactions from various political parties and civic organizations.

News Day Anchor Andrew Barnes will anchor from Parliament for our earlier broadcasts.  He will be joined by News Night’s Iman Rappetti from 5PM.

The primary Political Analyst for the day will be Abdul Waheed Patel, who will be on air from 5PM.
Marie Claire Editor Aspasia Karras will also be on hand to provide the fashion lowdown from the red carpet.

Both eNCA and e.tv will simulcast Zuma’s speech LIVE from 7PM.


Schedule Changes on e.tv:

The LIVE crossing to the SoNA on e.tv will result in the following schedules changes:

• eNews Early Edition (Zulu/Sotho) scheduled at 6PM has been dropped and replaced with Rhythm City, which has shifted from the 6:30PM slot.

• Scandal! has been shifted to start 1 hour earlier,  at 6:30PM.

• eNews Prime Time 2013 has been dropped and replaced with the live broadcast of “eNCA Specials 2013: The State of The Nation Address”.

• “Late Nite News: With Loyiso Gola” scheduled at 8PM has been dropped.

Normal programming on e.tv will resume as from 8:30PM with the movie “Juno”
