CAPE TOWN - School principals have a tough task of not only managing their school's academic programme, but also keeping them afloat often under dire conditions.

A new initiative is trying to make things easier for them.

Through the Partners for Possibility programme, principals are being teamed up with business moguls to learn some valuable lessons.

The programme aims to improve schools in disadvantaged areas across the country.

"We do have set of criteria, we go in and we look, we want enthusiastic  principals who see their leaders as the key to change in the school," said Louise Hendey.

These business leaders can help with anything from budgeting advice to simple things like planting a vegetable garden.
