LOS ANGELES - Vin Diesel unveiled Hollywood Walk of Fame star number 2,504 on Monday, an honour that Diesel celebrated in front of fellow actors and fans.

The Fast & Furious star uncharacteristically wore a dark blue suit and looked pleased with the position of his star on a street corner. As kid growing up in Manhattan, Diesel said he danced hip-hop on a street corner to earn money.

This year Diesel, 46, again played the role of Dominic "Dom" Toretto in Fast & Furious 6. The seventh film in the series already is in the making and he's also in the third in the sci-fi saga Riddick, which is playing in cinemas.

Diesel is one of Hollywood's most beloved action movie stars. He also was successful in the thriller xXx. As his next project Diesel wants to produce and star in a film version of the '70s television show Kojak featuring the bald police lieutenant Theo Kojak played by Telly Savalas.
