ISRAEL - Relations between Turkey and Egypt continue to deteriorate as both countries try to secure a truce between Israel and Hamas.
On Saturday, Egypt summoned the Turkish ambassador for the second time, over comments made by the Turkish Premier last week.
In an interview, Prime Minister Recep Erdogan called President Abdel al-Sissi a tyrant and said that Egypt had "no role' in resolving the Gaza crisis.
The offensive between Israeli forces and Hamas resumed on Sunday morning, ahead of Eid al-Fitr, after Hamas rejected Israeli’s bid to extend the ceasefire.
