JOHANNESBURG - Police arrested a pastor on Tuesday following the gruesome discovery of body parts of a mutilated four-year old boy in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal.
KZN police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said the boy's body parts were found at a church, cut into pieces and stuffed into a bag.
"We are still looking for his missing body parts. At this stage we can't say the incident was muthi-related."
Zwani said, "The motive of the killing is still unknown."
A case of murder was opened.
The 51-year old pastor is expected to appear at the Pongola Magistrate's Court.
On Tuesday, outraged community members vandalised the church. They also burnt the church's roundavel.
Zwane said 15 people were arrested for public violence.
