JOHANNESBURG - ANC veterans are hoping a national consultative conference can still be held before the party’s December elective conference.
The group says it should be held no later than the end of October.
The veterans say President Jacob Zuma made the suggestion during an earlier meeting.
A consultative conference they say, could help solve the current stalemate, and divert the party from its destructive path.
The veterans hope to discuss state capture, corruption and factionalism that threatens to rip the governing party apart.
