WATCH: The DA speaks on race and identity in SA

Johannesburg, 19 January 2016 - DA Leader Maimane will deliver a speech on race & identity in the DA and in South Africa.

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance's stance on race has come under fire following one of its members, Penny Sparrow, receiving a backlash after her racist remarks on social media.

Party leader Mmusi Maimane, delivered a speech on issues of race and identity in an open forum discussion at the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg on Tuesday.


The party statement, hailed it as an important and personal speech, which will have consequences for all DA structures and members across the country.
