DURBAN - An alleged ‘hit list’ targeting residents of Durban’s notorious Glebelands Hostel has emerged.
Community leaders claim members of a peace committee, formed to end almost two years of bloodshed, are in danger.
One man was shot and killed this month, while another survived an attack in September.

One local said, “things are bad there because some people are against the committee, especially in the old building there, Block 52 side. So all the people for the peace committee, they’re putting on a list, they want to kill all.”
Some residents claim police are involved in the factional war that has claimed the lives of more than 60 people since 2014.
Police say they're concerned such 'sensitive allegations' could fuel further violence if made public however, they insist they're looking into the matter and will report back to the complainants.
