JOHANNESBURG - As President Jacob Zuma fights to keep his job, the ANC's National Working Committee has been called to an urgent meeting to discuss the President's future.

Opposition parties, lobby and civil society groups have been calling for Zuma to leave office before the State of the Nation Address on Thursday.

The party's top six met with Zuma on Sunday night.

It's believed they discussed the president's future, amid growing calls for his removal.

But who is the NWC and what power does it hold?
