JOHANNESBURG – The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) is investigating a case of fraud and corruption relating to the buying of votes at the ANC's December elective conference.

Ipid said there was an attempt to defraud Crime Intelligence of almost R50-million.

The money would be directed to controversial company, Brainwave Projects.
