Karabo Mokoena's alleged killer on trial

JOHANNESBURG - Murder-accused Sandile Mantsoe's trial is expected to start in the South Gauteng High Court on Monday.

Mantsoe is accused of killing his former girlfriend, Karabo Mokoena, burning her body and dumping it in a veld in Lyndhurst Johannesburg last April.

He’s facing premeditated murder, defeating the ends of justice and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm charges.

Mantsoe has been behind bars for months after he was denied bail.

The case was postponed last month after new evidence emerged.
