SHARPEVILLE - Hundreds gathered in Sharpeville Township on Human Rights Day to commemorate events that forever changed the course of South Africa's history.
69 protestors marching against the apartheid pass laws were shot and killed by police and hundreds wounded on that day.
Those that attended the ceremony were reminded of the long and hard fight for democracy.
