The SANDF has denied it granted permission to any private individuals to land at Waterkloof Airforce Base.

A jet, chartered by the influential Gupta family landed at the national key point this morning.

It was full of guests, headed for the lavish nuptials of Vega Gupta. The wedding is set to run over a full week, at Sun City.

The family says there was no impropriety surrounding the use of Waterkloof Airforce Base. In a statement released this morning, the family says it is common practise for visiting dignitaries to be flown into an Airforce Base.

Furthermore, the family has said all permissions were applied for through the Indian High Commission, and none by the family itself.
