Three nabbed in OR Tambo cocaine bust

JOHANNESBURG - Three people have been arrested for possession of illegal drugs at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport.

Two of the suspects, a 37-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, are employees at the airport.

The pair was found in possession of just over 18 kilograms of cocaine on Saturday morning.

The drugs have an estimated street value of over R5-million.

In a separate incident, police arrested a 43-year-old man who was hiding the illegal stimulant ephedrine inside vehicle oil filters.

All three suspects will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Monday.
