DURBAN - Andre Slade, the owner of the Sodwana Bay guest house, stunned journalists on Wednesday when he illustrated the difference between white and black people in front of cameras.
Slade sparked controversy when he told a prospective guest that they don't accept blacks or government employees any longer. He used the Bible as justification for his actions.
KwaZulu-Natal’s Tourism MEC Sihle Zikalala wants Slade prosecuted for crimen injuria, tax evasion and operating an illegal business.
Zikalala’s also promised to suspend Slade’s licence and to evict him from the tribal land he is leasing.
A government delegation as well as a group of ANC supporters have also marched on the Sodwana Bay Guest House.
Protesters are calling for transformation in the tourism industry.
