Forensic pathologist Dr Gert Saayman testified on Monday that the "black talon" bullets that killed Reeva Steenkamp were designed to cause maximum damage.

Saayman testified in the North Gauteng High Court, where Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius is on trial for Steenkamp's murder.

The videos above demonstrate the impact of the type of bullet recovered from Steenkamp's body.
