What the cameras of eNCA, EWN and Reuters saw

eNCA analyses the Marikana footage from three different cameras Video: eNCA

As questions are asked about the mass killing at Marikana, what can be revealed from studying the news footage?

eNCA's Group News Editor, Ben Said, analyses the footage of three news cameras, which captured the moment on film.

From images of an advancing police line to teargas, rubber bullets and crucially the audio recorded.

However what is seen in the video is not the end of the story. The first camera is our own, the other two from Reuters and Eyewitness News.

Only a proper investigation will shed light on what really happened on the Thursday when 34 men were shot and killed in clashes between rival mineworkers' unions over wage demands and the police.
