UPDATE: Yende murder case postponed

JOHANNESBURG - The man accused of killing Eskom employee Thembisile Yende appeared in the Springs magistrate’s court in Ekurhuleni on Monday.

David Ngwenya, a technician at the power utility, was denied bail last month.

The case has been postponed to 18 September for further investigation.

He is accused of murdering Yende after she threatened to report his alleged involvement in a cable-theft syndicate.

Her body was found 10 days after her disappearance at an isolated Eskom substation in Springs, outside Johannesburg.
