CAPE TOWN - Helen Zille's disciplinary hearing will continue on 30 June after she made a short appearance on Friday.

The hearing was adjourned.

Zille arrived for her internal hearing in Cape Town in high spirits.

Zille has been suspended from all Democratic Alliance activities, because of her tweets on colonialism.

Meanwhile, the ANC in the Western Cape says it has not ruled out tabling a motion of no confidence in the Western Cape Premier.

The ANC says if she survives the hearing, she will have to answer to the provincial legislature.

“If the DA doesn’t remove Zille up until we have a seating as an ANC, we will no other choice but to call [for] a motion of no confidence against her,"  ANC's Khaya Magaxa said.

The ANC is the official opposition in the Western Cape.
