MODDERFONTEIN – The Vusi Ngubeni Qualifying school gives previously disadvantaged golfers an added chance to earn their Sunshine Tour card.

The top 15 finishers at the tournament earn the privilege to play on the tour but that is only the beginning of what is usually a tough year to try and make enough money to keep the card.

The tournament - which is named in honour of former Sunshine Tour board member Vusi Ngubeni - aims to make professional golf more accessible to young black players.
