DR CONGO - Doctors Without Borders says it is working closely with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, to contain the cholera outbreak.

According to the UN, it's claimed over five-hundred lives in the DRC.

"It is logistically difficult sometimes but we are able to access most areas that we need to because we have been here for many years. If you can contain it and cut its source, you can acquire good results which we have been seeing," said Todd Phillips from Doctors Without Borders.

He said security remains a constraint but the have been able to access the regions that they want to access.

"We are calling other actors to intervene. There are too many cases being reported for us to handle on our own," he said.
