Uganda's activists take gay cause to court

NAIROBI - Gay rights activists have approached Uganda&39;s constitutional court with a petition claiming the country&39;s new anti-gay laws are constitutional.

Meanwhile, parliamentarians in other countries have applauded President Yoweri Museveni&39;s recent decision to criminalise homosexuality.
While international countries have condemned the new law, other African counties - Nigeria, Kenya, and Zimbabwe - have continued fiery debate regarding homosexuality.
