JOHANNESBURG - Political analyst Professor Bheki Mngomezulu believes KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala's job is safe for now.
Zikalala lost the position of ANC chairperson in the province to Siboniso Duma during the provincial elective conference this weekend.

"If the new leadership will stand to its word, he might survive because the new leader, Siboniso Duma and his team were saying that they were not there to purge those they have followed," Mngomezulu said.
"They are saying they are not going to purge them. If they stand by what they have said then they are safe. But the reality is that these are only the leaders, they were elected in any possibility you may find out that those who elected them might put pressure for them to change the leadership of the province."
