JOHANNESBURG - The ANC seems to have put measures in place to deal with the issue of the Executive Ethics Code ahead of its December Elective Conference.

Political analyst Sandile Swana said, "although the judgment has got a stay of 12 months before it, they have given 12 months to the president to issue a new code, that will cover that internally."

"Which means CR17 is exempted from this but CR24, through the processes of the ANC itself, is not exempted because they've already implemented measures in anticipation of this."

"So that is quite commendable on the part of the ANC."
