JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has administered about 12.5-million COVID-19 vaccine doses so far.
Just over 253 thousand of them were given in the last 24 hours.
In recent weeks, the question of mandatory vaccination, or limitations on those who choose not to be vaccinated, has been debated but the Health Department hasn't decided whether or not to make jabs compulsory.
It will, however, be expanding the rollout, taking vaccines to the people.
