JOHANNESBURG - It's the first week back at work for most people and while stress in the workplace is common, depression -- on the other hand -- is on the rise.

Employers are struggling to manage this costly illness, but the SA Federation for Mental Health says employers must understand the rights of employees to effectively address this issue.
