JOHANNESBURG - Political Analyst Aubrey Matshiqi says its highly unlikely the economy of South African will change under President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Matshiqi was reflecting on the year that president Cyril Ramaphosa has been in power.
The analyst stated, "people say those who are critical of Ramaphosa are naïve because what they expect him to have achieved in a single year is unrealistic and it's true, but who created that expectation?"
"It was always unfair and unrealistic to think he will turn around this mess in one year, but also it's not unfair to accuse him of having planted those expectations."
"Its highly unlikely SA economy will be turnaround…..he doesn't have the logic that can explain how the government will undo the colonial apartheid structure of the economy."
