SAQA not asked to verify Govender's qualifications

TSHWANE - Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga is distancing himself from the appointment of Acting City Manager, Previn Govender.

Msimanga lays the blame solely on municipal manager Moeketsi Mosola.

The ANC in the region believes Govender should be removed because of his lack of qualifications for the post.

eNCA's Duduzile Ramela earlier spoke to South African Qualifications Authority's Deputy CEO, Julie Reddy.

Reddy explained that SAQA was not asked to verify the qualification of Govender and so could not say whether the municipal manager had misrepresented his qualifications.
