This is the second large Platinum Group Metals company to alert investors of strong growth in annual profits despite the CCOVID-19 pandemic disrupting operations.

Amplats says the sharp expected increase is driven by a 71 percent increase in the rand basket price.

Last Friday, Sibanye-Stillwater said it would report a full-year attributable profit of up to R30-billion for its 2020 financial year.

This from a R62-million profit the year before.
