Fuel prices | Zimbabwe ups blending to cut costs

Zimbabweans have witnessed sharp increases in prices of both petrol and diesel since March. Petrol has increased by over R4.30 a litre, while diesel has jumped a whopping R5. HARARE - The war in Ukraine has seen fuel prices around the world skyrocket.

In Zimbabwe, the government is using fuel blending to cut costs for consumers.

It will blend fuel with locally made ethanol.

But some believe the high fuel costs are not due to the global crisis alone.
