JOHANNESBURG - Harmony has signed a three-year wage agreement with all four of its unions on Thursday.
This is good news for the economy and labour relations.
"We did the eight-week negotiation process virtually. We were using [Microsoft] Teams and were meeting every Thursday since July, so it's been challenging but we've come to some form of agreement currently," Harmony Gold's Sihle Maake said.
Maake said the unions and the company were able to negotiate directly without the Minerals Council of South Africa and come to a consensus.
