JOHANNESBURG - The Health Justice Initiative has initiated legal proceedings asking for the disclosure of all vaccine manufacturer contracts for COVID-19 after an access to information request to the Department of Health was refused.
The HJI wants all contracts entered into and any applicable agreements with relevant companies and entities to be revealed.
It says the public does not know the content of these agreements.
HJI says around R10-billion was allocated for the purchase of vaccines but there's been no public disclosure of the contracting parties.
