JOHANNESBURG - Please consider the needs of informal traders.
That's the appeal from the South African Informal Traders Alliance (SAITA) to Finance Minister Tito Mboweni ahead of his budget speech on Wednesday.
The country has over three million of them across the country.
SAITA President Rosheda Muller says they need government to recognise the sector as real businesses that also contribute to the country's economy.

"We are not considered, we are spoken about," said Muller.
"We are calling for better recognition, acknowledgement and for participation and proper consultation."
Muller goes on to say that should government work together with the sector, and the necessary systems be put in place, there will be greater opportunities for employment.
