JOHANNESBURG - Momentum has agreed to payout Nathan Ganas' widow R2.4-million.
The company says it will pay amounts equal to death benefits to all victims of violent crimes up to R3 million
It says the money will come from profits not clients' premiums.
The company received backlash after it declined to settle the R2.4-million payout to Mrs Ganas.
Nathan Ganas was gunned down in a hijacking in 2017.
Momentum had claimed he failed to declare that he had been diagnosed with high blood sugar levels.
