JOHANNESBURG - Wage negotiations between Numsa and the Automobile Manufacturers Employers Organisation are still ongoing.

Workers want a 20 percent pay increase.

Numsa represents over 300,000 workers employed by manufacturing companies, car dealerships and petrol stations.

Union spokesperson Phakamile Hlubi-Majola says no agreement has been reached because employers aren't fully engaging with the demands made by the union and employees.

"The main issue is... we feel as if employers are not engaging meaningfully with all our demands," said Hlubi-Majola.

She said one of the key demands is the wage demand.
