JOHANNESBURG - Over two-million social media posts say MTN and its network quality is the best out of the five telecommunications companies in the country.
The brand is closely followed by Cell C, according to an analysis by BrandsEye, in partnership with Deloitte Africa.
The analysis looked at social media posts on Vodacom, Telkom, rain, MTN and Cell C.
It used software and humans to detail the reputational risks and opportunities facing telecommunications companies.
Social media users would post on high prices to poor customer service, weak data connectivity, and satisfaction with company responses to complaints.

The only downfall about MTN is that its customers say they repeatedly struggled to reach its call centres.
Rain, which grew in 2020 from 100,000 customers to 800,000, attracted the most negative social media posts for its poor network quality and bad customer service.
