JOHANNESBURG - MTN has reduced the price of prepaid data prices.
The cost of 10GB of data, including another 10GB for use at certain times of the night has been reduced to R149.
The network operator's decision to slash prices comes a week after its rival Vodacom cut pre-paid data prices by 14-percent.
MTN says the new deals are valid for 30 days.
Prepaid customers will have to move to the BozzaGigs LTE plan before they can take advantage of the lower prices.
The data plan prices will be launched to consumers on Wednesday.
