JOHANNESBURG - Sibanye Gold CEO Neal Froneman said the private sector can help the government deal with some economic challenges.
He was speaking ahead of Business Unity South Africa's second annual Business Economic Indaba.
South Africa is facing high unemployment, low economic growth and load-shedding.
Froneman said, "we have some very successful businesses in South Africa, whether you talk manufacturing, whether you talk banking, whether you talk mining.
"There must be good capacity within those businesses that we can second or allocate to [the] government to use to assist with delivery at a municipal level. There is technical capacity within our businesses, there is financial capacity that seems to be all necessary to enable the state to deliver as well."
