Probe into banks' alleged collusion


JOHANNESBURG - It seems racial profiling remains a thing in the banking sector.

The Sekunjalo Group has made this claim after its accounts were closed by  ABSA, FNB, Nedbank, Investec, Sasfin, Bidvest, and Mercantile Bank.

The group has taken the matter to the  Equality Court, accusing these banks of racial discrimination.

Legal expert, Zelna Jansen says this system dates back to the colonial era.
