JOHANNESBURG - The latest Commission for Employment Equity Report reveals that transformation in South African workplaces continues to lag.

The number of black Africans in top posts averaged around 17 percent in the three years between 2019 and 2021.

The white and Indian population groups remain overrepresented while African and coloured population groups are underrepresented.

Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi says the report indicates minimal and superficial progress in realising meaningful transformation in the workplace.
