JOHANNESBURG - The 2022 Household Affordability Index reveals that South Africans are becoming increasingly food insecure.

In fact, the average cost of the household food basket is over R4,000.

This mean that the month-on-month food basket has increased by more than R70 and the year-on-year basket by more than R500.
