JOHANNESBURG - Sibanye-Stillwater is buying its own COVID-19 vaccines for its workers.
The largest private-sector employer in the country plans to vaccinate its 80,000 strong workforce.
CEO Neal Froneman says government's acquisition of vaccines is taking too long.
The company is also willing to fund jabs for mining communities and its workers' dependents.
Froneman says the private procurement could be done within the quarter.
