Steep increase at the pumps

JOHANNESBURG - Motorists will pay 65-cents more per litre of petrol from midnight on Tuesday.

While the diesel will go up by 56-cents a litre.

Although the rand-dollar exchange rate has been more favourable lately, the increasing oil prices have pushed up fuel prices all round.

Paraffin will also increase by up to 63-cents.

Fuel prices are expected to be hiked even further next month when the new fuel levy of 27-cents kicks in.
