JOHANNESBURG - Brace for a massive fuel price increase from Wednesday.
This comes hot on the heels of a second week of Stage 6 power cuts.
Government says the main reasons for the increase are the rising crude oil prices, the unfavourable rand/dollar exchange rate and the addition of levies that were halted as a short-term relief measure to address the fuel price increases.
You'll be paying R26.31 for a litre 93 octane while 95 octane will cost you R26.74 a litre (inland).
Diesel is going up to R25.53 a litre and illuminating paraffin to R19.86 a litre (inland).
The rand is currently reeling at over R16 against the US dollar.
