Angry undertakers gathered outside Home Affairs head office.
JOHANNESBURG - Funeral undertakers and the department have reached an agreement.
This comes after chaotic scenes outside the offices of the Home Affairs department this week.
The Unification Task Team, comprising of various funeral parlour companies stormed the head office of Home Affairs on Tuesday demanding swift action to their grievances.
Undertakers were protesting over numerous issues, including delays in the registration of death certificates.
Meanwhile, the Task Team has urged its members to enroll for training and register to get their permanent competency certificate.
The task team has welcomed the agreement.
