The purpose of this role is to coordinate the audio requirements on the studio floor i.e Charging batteries, preparing and testing microphones, micing up talent and guests.
•Assist Audio Mixer
•Stand in as a Floor Manager when required
•Execute reasonable instructions from the HOD, or any designated representative
•During live or pre-recordings Audio assistant will execute instructions from TD (Technical Director).
•Ensure presenters and guest are ready to go on air e.g. Microphones, Audio fold back, and no cables are showing
•Work with crew
•Charge and manage batteries and department consumables
•Collect info for administration such as the cue sheets
•Do all paper work associated with audio department e.g. labels, cue sheets
•Microphone set ups in studio and on location
•Trouble shoot when necessary
•Brief and usher presenters and guest

Experience: Minimum of 2 year relevant experience
Specific Professional Competencies:
•Operate On-air graphic play out machines eg. VIZRT/FX Deko
•Full screen graphics, play titles, supers and credits to air eg VIZ Pilot, Trio and and Dalet Plus
•Take direction and troubleshoot
•Understanding of broadcasting environment and production
•Understanding of role players and television language
•Good communication skills
•Work under pressure
•Have excellent timing and coordination skills, quick reactions, high levels of concentration and the ability to handle stress are all essential as Vision Controllers – Camera Robotic operators
