Black Panther bags Golden Globe nomination

Black Panther's winning streak seems to be continuing.

JOHANNESBURG - Black Panther's winning streak seems to be continuing.

The Marvel film is the first comic book movie to get a nod at the Golden Globe Awards for The Best Motion Picture – Drama.

Nominations for the awards were announced at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday by a panel of actors and actresses, including Terry Crews, Danai Gurira, Leslie Mann and Christian Slater.

Gurira, who played Okoye in the movie, shared her excitement for the nod with her followers on Twitter.

The film was also nominated for the Best Original Score – Motion Picture and Best Original Song – Motion Picture for the song All the Stars.

Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg will co-host the glitzy awards show in January.
