Desmond Tutu casts special vote

JOHANNESBURG - Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and his wife Leah have cast their special votes.

Independent Electoral Committee officials met up with the couple in their Milnerton home in Cape Town on Monday morning.

Tutu thanked officials after his special vote as he walked them out and waved to the media.

More than 770,000 voters have registered for special votes and although polls open nationally on Wednesday.

Those who applied for special votes will vote on Monday and Tuesday.
